I am pleased to now offer fine art giclée prints, limited to editions of 10 and individually signed.
Using only the finest materials currently available on the market, they are printed on heavy weight, acid free papers on my Epson large format printer, running UltraChrome K3 pigmented inksets through ColorBurst RIP software. This combination guarantees remarkable accuracy of colour, consistency of the printed image and offers archival permanence in excess of 60 years*
*Tests conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research*
Prints are currently offered on the following media:
308gsm Photo Rag -
A3: A3+: A2:
500gsm Photo Rag -
A2 only. These prints do not require mounting due to the weight and thickness of the paper.
100% Cotton Fine Art Canvas.
Each print is left for between 72 to 96 hours to ensure complete drydown colour accuracy, before coating with a special protective spray to seal the surface and protect it from dirt, fingerprints and moisture.
This increases the water-resistance of the print and helps protect the image from fading caused by UV rays.
Some of the mills are now producing Baryta papers. These offer the look and feel of traditional darkroom media, and I must say my first trials have proved very interesting. With some judicious processing of the files and a bit of tweaking to the printer profile, the outputs are looking quite stunning.
All this without having to spend hours in the darkroom inhaling some odd chemical fumes.
Marvellous!!
